For candidates

A first interview that gives you a fair chance

If a company uses Interview Assist, your first interview is a conversation with an AI interviewer, at a time you choose, from your own browser.

  1. Step 1

    An invitation from the company

A personal link by email, for this vacancy only.

  2. Step 2

    Pick a time

Choose one of the times offered, or ask for others. A reminder arrives 30 minutes before.

  3. Step 3

    Interview in the browser

Open the link, allow the microphone and camera, hear the rules and start. Nothing to install.

  4. Step 4

    A real conversation

Questions about your experience and the role, follow-ups, and time for your own questions.

  5. Step 5

    People decide what's next

The hiring team reads your interview and decides. The AI never hires or rejects anyone.

Designed with you in mind

What we built so you can do your best

Time to think

Pausing mid-answer is normal. The interviewer holds those pauses, so you're not cut off while you gather your thoughts.

The same chance as everyone

Every candidate for a role gets the same questions, the same time and the same scoring, whoever they are.

Ask about the role

At the end, ask what you want to know. The interviewer answers from what the company has told it.

Connection trouble is fine

If your connection drops, the page reconnects, or reopen your link. You carry on where you were, and it never counts against you.

Your side of the story

If your CV raises a question, like a gap between jobs, you may be asked to explain it in your own words, in writing or on video.

Heard clearly

Quiet microphones are lifted automatically, so a soft voice or a laptop mic doesn't put you at a disadvantage.

Before you start

A few tips

There's no trick to it. The interviewer wants to understand how you work and think, the same as a person would.

  • 1Find a quiet place, and use headphones if you have them.
  • 2Talk as you would to a person. Real examples beat perfect wording.
  • 3Take a moment before you answer. That's expected.
  • 4Bring a question or two about the role for the end.

Have an interview link? Open it from your invitation email. If something isn't working, contact the company that invited you.
